Official 2017 Warrior Grind
The WARRIOR GRIND
Cycling 250 Miles in 36 hours!
Join us this October 13-14, 2017 as we set off on a 250 mile endurance cycling challenge to raise money and awareness to support and effectively treat our military heroes. Cyclists will ride 250 miles in 36 hours from Orlando, Florida to Ft. Pierce, Florida and back October 13 and 14, spending the night at the Navy SEAL Museum, which marks the halfway point.
Open to professional and amateur riders, military and civilians, the 4th Annual Warrior Grind will raise funds for SEAL Swim Charities who supports military veterans and their families, while raising awareness about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other combat-related stress. Event creator, former Navy SEAL, and founder of Trident Fitness, Rich Graham, emphasizes that the ride is not a race, rather a testament of strength and endurance.
Two organizations that will benefit from this event are:
Operation Restored Warrior provides a program called "Drop Zone," which helps troubled veterans get back on track emotionally and spiritually, set goals, and, among many other things, realize their purpose again. For the last 6 years, ORW has had a 100% success rate in saving and transforming the lives of US Veterans and their families, without the use of Rx drugs.
Homefront K9 has the core mission of donating protection dogs to the families of active servicemen and women, specifically those in the special operations community. The last thing a serviceman or woman should have to worry about is the safety of his or her family back at home.
