Volunteers made this ride possible! We couldn't have done it without them!!!!
Here's what our volunteers offered and how you can help: Support Support Support!!!! It makes a huge difference to have someone meet you at a gas station with a smile and encouraging word! SAG Vehicles We had multiple SAG vehicles with one main "gear" truck. Even when we spit into a couple of groups on day one, each group had a vehicle with water, tires and tubes! Nobody rode alone and no one was left flat or dry! Preparation at the half-way point When we pulled into the Navy SEAL Museum there was food, drinks and cots prepared! All we had to do was shower, eat and relax! Communication It's not always easy to pull out a phone and call another rider. We ended up in approx 3 groups on day one. The SAG vehicles kept us up to date on everyone's locations. Arranging the escort rendezvous Having an escort for the last 15 miles was incredible! Our volunteers got in touch with the groups interested and made sure we all met up at the right place. Arranging the "After Party" The event at the end of the ride gives everyone a chance to reflect, share stories and have fun. Our volunteers helped arrange the vendors as well as the silent action.
